Proclaim Church East is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, Nondenominational Christian church with a passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Worship services follow a contemporary style in a casual environment where you'll hear relevant messages for everyday life. Everyone is welcome. Come check us out!
OUR PASTOR
Pastor Femi and his wife Nana have dedicated countless years to the service of Proclaim Church North York. They've faithfully led Bible studies, engaged in outreach activities, served in the nursery ministry, and contributed to the cleaning ministry. Their marriage has been a tremendous blessing to their home church, but they felt a deeper calling from God.
In May 2023, Pastor Femi and Nana heeded God's call to embark on a new journey – the establishment of a church in East York, Ontario. They've been laying the foundation for this new congregation by working diligently on the streets of East York, passionately sharing the gospel of Jesus with everyone they encounter.
Their vision is to replicate the impactful work they've carried out in the North York church and extend it to Proclaim Church East York. Their mission is to fill the church with devoted Christians who share a common commitment to evangelism, discipleship, and taking the great commission to heart.
With unwavering support from their home church, Pastor Femi and Nana are excited to spread the gospel in East York.
OUR MISSION
EVANGELISM
The Gospel taken outside the four walls is the absolute foundation of our church. In obedience to Mark 16:15, "... And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature'", we emphasize personal evangelism and a large variety of outreaches to share the Gospel.
CONVERSION
We witness, testify and preach for a decision to serve Christ. The Gospel has the power to save and transform lives through the word of God which lives and abides forever. 1 Peter 1:23 says, " For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God". The bulk of our congregation comprises people converted by the Power of God.
THE LOCAL CHURCH
God has placed everything necessary to accomplish His will in the setting of the local church (Ephesians 1:22-23... "And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself"). God’s will is accomplished in us and through us as we connect and commit ourselves to a local church.
OUR VISION
DISCIPLESHIP
God's intent for your calling to Him, and for Him, is to be accomplished through being trained and equipped within the setting of a local church. Therefore, the highest calling of a Pastor and congregation is to obey God’s command in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age".
CHURCH PLANTING
The result of disciples being raised up is that they be released into the harvest field. Matthew 9:37-38 states, "Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest'". We send couples to plant brand new congregations to reproduce our vision in a new area.
